For some of you, this is not the beginning of your journey to becoming an Instructional Designer. You may have gone to grad school or possibly took on a training role at your job, and feel like you already have a firm foundation, but just need help getting a job. 

After working with people for some time, I have noticed that there are often gaps that you don't realize you have. I used to offer an abbreviated version of the program, but often the people who selected that version ended up needing the full version anyway. 

You don't know what you don't know, and that's completely understandable, but that means the gaps are less visible and don't reveal themselves until later.

This program is comprehensive, and will ensure you can fill in all the gaps so you are well positioned, from ALL angles, to be successful. 

I want to make sure you get all the way over the finish line and not "almost" there because often times people fall flat when they lose the support they had and don't make it all the way across - wasting time, money, and energy.  This program is focused on getting you RESULTS!

The idea is NOT that you wait 9 months to get work.  My plan for you is to get work long before then. This program is not just teaching you Instructional Design; it's about TRANSFORMATION. It's 9 months to allow you to work through the content and the credential and get coaching where needed.

There are LOTS of things that come up while working your first contract that you don't realize and can't replicate until you do it.  You will have questions and not be confident about whether you should ask them because you are new.  I want to help you through that process so you are successful.  

There is also a process to applying, tweaking your application process, and making sure all pieces of the puzzle are optimal for the job you are applying for.

I understand that you are busy.  I have members in the program that have full-time jobs, are in school, and have families and this program needs to fit into a busy schedule. The average member spends a minimum of 7 hours a week, but some spend more and some less. 

That's why it's self-paced. You get access to all the training modules right away, and you receive live coaching each week on what you are working on, no matter where you are in the program.  You also get an Accountability Advisor that helps you set goals that work with your schedule. 

Grad school is amazing to really dive into the theory, with a bit of practical application, but unfortunately, it doesn't REALLY teach you how to do Instructional Design and eLearning Development in the real world. This program is the BRIDGE between grad school and the real world, and it's so critical to breaking into the market.

I was talking to a training agency I work with that hires ID contractors and he said that is his #1 concern with hiring recent grad school graduates - they can't talk the talk during the interview that gives him confidence that that know how to work a project in real life. 

I hear so many things that people have been told in their grad programs and I get so upset because I know that's not how things really work.  I have been working in corporate for 15 years and there are so many things I have learned that I will be sharing with you.

Your portfolio also have to be branded like you are a current Instructional Designer and NOT a grad student, so a grad school portfolio won't cut it, unfortunately.

Let's be honest - you have probably been applying for work for awhile and it's not working out.  I have members in my program who were in the same boat and they now have more work than they can handle once they figured out how to bridge the gap!

In addition, you don't learn how to get contract work and work remotely in grad school.  You don't really learn that anywhere outside of this program, which is what makes it so unique!

I will be honest (you will see what I don't sugarcoat things!) This program does not focus on getting a job in the K-12 or higher-ed environment, so if that is your focus, this is not the program for you. 

The main focus is on corporate work, as that is where the money is and where most of my experience lies.  However, many new IDs find it easier to break into higher ed, including many currently in the program.  We will still be able to work with you and coach you along the way, as long as you have a desire to get to corporate in the future.
